Hi, I’m Bridget Shaughnessy.
Sometimes our joy gets buried. Mine did. Mine got buried in trauma (HELLP syndrome, adoption-related stress, and physical pain to name a few).
When I was going through my coaching training, I was still buried, recovering from educator burn-out, living abroad and repatriating to a birth country where I still felt foreign.
In one of my coaching sessions, I was being coached by THE Martha Beck (I do adore her so) and she said to me, “When I find my joy, my joy will find the others.” I wrote the words down and I put them on a sticky note. That sticky note now lives in a frame on my desk. Before I start a coaching session, I look at those words to reorient myself. Some words are like starlight or stardust or moon powder or sunlight or all of those combined. Joy.
How do you find your joy? Have you lost it? I understand. Do you want it back? I get it. My journey towards joy lives in bluegrass, tapas, architecture, art, using the body’s wisdom to heal itself, yoga retreats, travel, podcasts, book stacks, olives, meditation teachers, mindfulness practices, and working with clients to rediscover THEIR joy.
I live in Colorado where I am raising two teenagers. I am in the trenches alongside my clients. I love sitting with one human at a time listening, capturing, excavating, supporting and nurturing each person while helping them move closer and closer to their joy. If you’re stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to rediscover your joy, reach out for a complimentary coaching discovery session (virtual). My coaching sessions thereafter can either be virtual or in-person depending on your preference and location.
If you’re local, I am also an integrative practitioner. I combine embodied coaching with energy healing in 90 minute sessions that include a luxurious foot bath, tea, and conversation. Feel free to book directly on my calendar. I look forward to working with you!
